Last year, The Bayou Talk Newspaper celebrated its silver anniversary in style, and we want to thank all of our fans and supporters for making it out best year yet! First, we rolled out our brand-new website, which announced our new "Ask Sadie Mae" column, as well as our ongoing Monthly Themes. Secondly, we updated our newsletter format, and we certainly appreciate all of the positive feedback we've received on both. We even managed to get our feet wet in the world of social media and now have a thriving page on Facebook! We've had a great time reconnecting with old friends and making many new ones! We hope you'll connect with us there, too.
We at the Bayou Talk are committed to curating and sharing the most timely and relevant news concerning the Louisiana and global Creole communities. We can't do it without you, so please remember to send us your stories, recipes, upcoming event notices, and other items of interest. As mentioned above, we feature a unique monthly theme for each edition, and we would encourage you to send us your submissions, while keeping these themes in mind. Of course, even if something doesn't necessarily fit the theme, we still might be able to find a home for it at the Bayou Talk, so send away, and please be sure to read our complete Submission Guidelines.
Once again, thanks for your support of our 26-years-young grassroots publication. We look forward to keeping our Creole community connected in 2014! Have a great year!
